Our Houses

DARLING HOUSE

Darling house was named after Canon CW. Darling mcumbent at Christ Church Cathedral between 1907 and 1915.

Emblem: The emblem of the darling house is a three-leaf clover, in old English, it string for the Trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Spint may also stand for the 3 maxims of the House Spent in its elegant motto.

Motto: Work Hard, Play Hard, Run Straight This is perhaps the most valuable advice one can receive in their lifetime it's relevance gracefully intwines with our lite. Working hard to achieve our dreams, playing well to succeed and deliver and running straight, both towards the winning line and our goals without faltering, empowers us to have courage and perseverance.

DOWNING HOUSE

Downing House was named after a Governor of the CP. and Berar dating back to 1909.

Emblem: The emblem of the Downing House comprises of two fish and a stream of water in the centre. The fish symbolise an affiliation to the Christianity while the presence of water indicate a source of life. The fish reach for the stars which represent protection and motivation, apt for the memorable axiom.

Motto: Through Difficulties to Glory In the long path of life, our way shall frequently be marred by toll and struggle. In these harsh times, we must know to possess a dignified faith in ourselves with our heads held high. The spirit to pursue our dreams and a firm determination will lead us to attain splendid glory in our lives.

Sinker House

The Sinker House was formally known as the 'Sly House', named after Sir Frank George, the first Governor of the Central Provinces from 1920-25, who was a great friend to the school. The Sly House was purple and gradually evolved into the present Sinker House, personified by a dazzling yellow.

The house was rechristened, a 'Sinker' as a homage to the last British Bishop of Nagpur, George Sinker, who chaired the school under the Anglican Church.

Emblem: The hands in the Sinker House's emblem, signify work and prayer, principle actions that lead us to its concise motto.

Motto: 'Deeds not Words'

This emphasizes the weight of our acts that, ultimately, speak louder than words and define our life significantly. Deeds empowered by a strong will and a benevolent heart will never waver in the face of adversity, where mere words fail.

LEVI HOUSE

Before the conception of the Levi House, existed the Wardell House named after Rev. A.F.G. Wardell Chaplain (priest) of the Christ Church between 1919 and 1923.

However, the name was changed to Levi House after Miss A.M. Levi, a distinguished headmistress who served the school for 35 years. The school became such a prestigious and renowned institution in India, mainly due to her dedication and efforts. The Levi Hall which is the current class 12 D, is named after her.

Emblem: The Levi house has the 'Fleur-de-Lis' as its symbol. In essentiality, it is an ancient French emblem, which consist of a vibrant lily flower. The lily flower is a representative of purity and Godliness. These values are succinctly expressed in the House's motto.

Motto: 'Loyalty, Honour, Service'

This is not a bare phrase. Fundamentally, it emphasizes the most important qualities needed to live a worthy and virtuous life. Relentless loyalty to whom we serve upright honor in our conduct and dutiful service to the nation, school and family propel us to achieve triumph that shines on us, the light of prestige and magnificence.

MARCH PAST: It showcased the discipline and focus of the students where they marched together as a team. The synchronized movements, the crisp commands, and the zeal and enthusiasm of the students showed how close they had come to working in a perfect symphony.

P.T. Display: It was a sight to see the P.T. display at New Christ Church Girls' Senior Secondary School Vijay Nagar, on Sports Day. It was spectacular for its glittering and colorful presentation. Our Little Angels with bright and confident expressions on their charming faces, entertained the audience to their best. It was the best of the best.

Races: Students of New Christ Church Girls' Senior Secondary School, Vijay Nagar, participate in various races such as sparrow race, butterfly race, relay race, etc.

Our School Organizes various sports events and inter-house sports competitions where students participate in games such as kho-kho, tug of war, kabaddi, etc.
